Second Language Education & Culture (SLEC) Program: TESOL & Foreign Language Education
Admission Requirements
To be admitted to the M.Ed. Program in TESOL with K-12 ESOL certification, applicants must meet the following Graduate School requirements:

A fully completed B. S. or B. A. in any relevant subject area with a Grade Point Average of 3.0 (B) or higher.
Three letters of recommendation, preferably from former professors who can assess the applicant’s academic potential. Letters must be accompanied by the recommendation form and the summary evaluation form, which are part of the application packet

A Statement of Goals, which should describe how the applicant’s academic career objectives and experiences fit with the intended program of study.

A composite score of 527 for PRAXIS I, and passing scores on the reading and writing sections.

Complete the Declaration of Intention to Pursue or Not to Pursue K-12 ESOL Certification and submit it with your application package.

International Student Applications
There are admission requirements for TOEFL Internet-based Testing (IBT).
Each international applicant must provide an official statement regarding financial support. This statement ensures that the applicant has sufficient financial resources to meet educational and living expenses.
