> Dr. Andre Rupp and Dr. Robert Mislevy received an NSF grant in collaboration with the University of Wisconsin -- AutoMentor: Virtual Mentoring and Assessment in Computer Games for STEM Learning.

> Jing Gao accepted a position as psychometrician at Second Language Testing, Inc., in Rockville, MD.

> Junhui Liu got a summer internship at HumRRO in Kentucky.

> Brandi Weiss won an Ann G. Wylie dissertation fellowship.

> Heather Mann accepted a position as Associate Research Scientist, ETS Research & Development Division, in
the ETS Center for Validity Research.

> Dr. Bob Mislevy received the 2009 Robert L. Linn Distinguished Address Award from recognition by AERA Division D.

> Jennifer Koran accepted a position as Assistant Professor of Educational Statistics and Measurement in the Department of Educational Psychology and Special Education at Southern Illinois University.

> Dongyang Li accepted a position as a psychometrician at Prometrics in Baltimore.

> Ying Li and Xiaodong Hou received ACT Summer Internships.

> Dr. Hong Jiao was appointed to the committee of the American Educational Research Association on Significant Contribution for Educational Measurement and Research Methodology.

> Dr. Jeffrey Harring, with Dr. Rebecca Silverman, received an IES grant: "Investigating breadth, depth, & comprehension in English monolingual & Spanish-English bilingual elementary school students."

> Dr. George Macready, with Brandi Weiss, received a grant from the Center for Teaching Excellence for their undergraduate teaching mentorship program.

> Dr. André Rupp received a University of Maryland Graduate Research Board 2009 Summer Research Award for his research project entitled, "Robustness of diagnostic classification models due to model misspecification: Toward a consumer report for multidimensional measurement models."

> Dr. Hong Jiao received a Fall 2008 College of Education SPARC grant for her research project entitled, "Rasch mixture model for testlet-based assessments."

> Brandi Weiss received a Fall 2008 College of Education SPARC grant for her research project entitled, "Latent variable models for estimating quadratic relationships in structural equation modeling."
