Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Assessment and Evaluation

The Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Assessment and Evaluation (P-BCAE) is a new certificate program designed for students who wish to increase their subject-matter knowledge and related performance skills as well as prepare themselves for new challenges related to their professional areas.  To earn the P-BCAE, students must complete five three-credit courses (15 graduate academic credits in total).  All five courses are part of the regularly-scheduled course offerings in EDMS: EDMS 610, EDMS 645, EDMS 622, EDMS 626, and EDMS 647.

The program is offered on a cohort basis, with new cohorts beginning every semester during the academic year.  Participants take the courses in sequence, beginning with EDMS 610.  The other courses expand upon concepts introduced in EDMS 610:  Basic psychometric statistics, standardized testing, locating and evaluating measures, and program evaluation.  Courses follow a traditional semester format.

The P-BCAE utilizes primarily distance-learning methods of instruction. Students enrolled in the program must therefore have access to and skill in utilizing electronic media.

NOTE:  To enroll in this Certificate program you must have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution with a grade-point average of 3.0.
