Sherril Moon is a Professor of Special Education at the University of Maryland. She has worked in the human service field for over 30 years as a therapeutic recreation specialist, teacher, adult service provider, researcher, and teacher trainer. She has provided inservice training to educational and community agencies throughout the country. Dr. Moon has written numerous books, chapters, articles, and curriculum guides on employment, postsecondary education, school programming, recreation, and community living for people with severe disabilities. She is currently training secondary special educators and transition specialists and is researching post-secondary and community services for young adults with severe disabilities.
