PROGRAM INFORMATION

Master's Specialty Program Students pursuing the Master's degree specialty program may earn the 36 hour Master's Arts (MA) or the 30 hour Master's of Education (MEd) degree. Those interested in completing the thesis option pursue a MA degree. The Master's Specialty program provides students an opportunity to develop competence in special education. The student and advisor develop a plan of study that complements the background and career plans with required and elective coursework.

The Master's specialty program is designed for: (a) allied professionals (e.g., occupational, physical, speech therapists) who are not interested in obtaining teacher certification; (b) students primarily interested in a research-oriented program.
