WebDAV is the communication protocol that is used to maintain College of Education based webhosted sites. Those are sites that reside within the www.education.umd.edu domain. ETS is responsible for granting WebAccess access by assigning login names to access groups.
Getting WebDAV access is a multi-step process. First, the department's web account manager should notify Steve Pragel by email of your name, email address, and the access you should have (i.e., which sub-directories). Steve will then set up your permissions and email you the information necessary for you to configure your access software (Dreamweaver recommended).
Once you have access, you can login to the College of Education with a number of commercially available software packages.
A common issue that people have with WebDAV is when they have a problem logging in to their account. This may be caused by your university password that needs to be changed in Dreamweaver. Please take a look at our step-by-step guides on how to change your password in Dreamweaver.
