Relevant Campus Offices:

International Education Services (IES)
The International Education Services office at the University of Maryland assists international students in the process of applying to the university, and once admitted, in obtaining visas and understanding reporting requirements.

Office of Human Relations Program (OHRP)
The Office of Human Relations Program is committed to a variety of proactive educational programs in multicultural education. It offers workshops, training, class facilitation, and small group dialogues on a variety of diversity issues including sexual harassment prevention, race, ethnicity, and sexuality.

Multicultural Involvement and Community Advocacy (MICA)
The Office of Multicultural Involvement and Community Advocacy, a unit within the Adele H. Stamp Student Union and the Division of Student Affairs, works to empower students through education on issues of race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, gender expression, religion and their intersections.

International Student Groups

International Graduate Students Organization (IGSA)
IGSA is established for the expressed purpose of providing peer support for the international graduate student community at the University of Maryland, College Park, through organizing and hosting cultural and social events as well as of raising awareness on campus about the specific needs of international graduate students.

International Student Events

Orientation for New Arrivals
Every semester the International Educational Services organizes orientation sessions to welcome newly-arrived international students.

International Coffee Hour
On a weekly to biweekly basis, International Educational Services hosts a coffee hour in the ground floor lounge of Dorchester Hall. Free coffee and snacks are organized as international and American students gather together and socialize.
