Using Application Process for Doctoral and Post-Doctoral Fellows
Applicants for the Center doctoral fellowships must first be admitted to the graduate program at one or more of the Center universities.
Qualifications —In making fellowship award decisions, the Center faculty look at: candidates’ teaching experience in PreK-16 mathematics; their mathematics content preparation; their prior graduate study in mathematics, mathematics education, or a related field; and their Graduate Record Examination scores.
Post-doctoral fellowship candidates should have a Ph. D. in one of the mathematical sciences, work experience in aspects of mathematics education, and commitment to a professional career in the field.
Timing — For best consideration in the admission and fellowship competition, applications should be complete and received by at least one Center university by February 1.
Visits by Prospective Students — The Center has limited funds to support visits by prospective fellows to the Center universities to explore opportunities and requirements that seem the best match with their interests.
