Who We Are.
The Mid-Atlantic Center for Mathematics Teaching and Learning is a collaborative effort led by mathematics education and mathematics faculty of three research universities who work with mathematics program leaders in three school system partners. The Center currently supports studies and research of 45 doctoral and post-doctoral fellows with NSF funds.
- University Partners — The key university partners are the University of Delaware, the University of Maryland, and The Pennsylvania State University.
- School System Partners — The key school system partners are the Delaware State Department of Education, the Prince George's County Public Schools (MD), and the Pittsburgh Public Schools (PA).
- Current NSF Fellows — Current fellows at Mid-Atlantic Center universities come from over a dozen different states, with backgrounds in teaching at all levels K-14 and a variety of professional goals in mathematics education.
These partners interact in a variety of regular meetings and research projects.
