On-Campus Interviewing: During the spring semester, the Maryland/Metropolitan Area Teacher Interviewing Consortium is the major on-campus interviewing event for teacher education majors. Representatives from local school systems, the Mid-Atlantic region, and other states across the country participate in this important event (typically scheduled in late-Spring). During the fall semester, Teacher Recruitment Days is the major on-campus interviewing program for teacher education majors. Representatives from local school systems participate in this important event (typically scheduled in late-Fall). In order to participate in these on-campus interviewing programs, students must register in advance through TERP Online.
TERP Online: The Career Center uses TERP (The Employment Registration Program) Online, an online system that provides 24 hour access to on-campus interviews, job listings, and resume referral, from any computer with Internet access (including WAM labs). To register for these services, you must pay a one-time fee of $20 that is billed to your current student account.
Job Listings: Online job listings (updated daily, Monday through Friday) are accessible 24 hours a day to students who are registered with TERP Online. If you don't have access to the online version, printed listing of these full-time, part-time, and internship positions may also be found in the Career Center's Resource Room.
Resume Referral: TERP Online also allows students and alumni to present their qualifications to employers who are not interviewing on campus. Employers request a database search for applicants with specific skills or backgrounds to fill their current position opening. After reviewing the resumes, employers contact qualified candidates to arrange office interviews or request additional information.
