Post-Preview
Greetings all!
We certainly do hope that you enjoyed our UMD Virtual Preview program this year. Thank you for joining and being in community with our administration, faculty, and current students. While our formal program may have ended, we invite you to remain connected with us. In addition to our Preview website, please read this full message that will provide you with important information on your next steps:
1. Join HESI classes this week as a guest!
2. If able, please join us for our post-Preview Q&A on March 8th, 2023 at 6:30-7:30 pm EST via Zoom.
3. For those seeking GAships, our employers may begin extending offers on March 6th, 2023 at 9:00 am EST. If you receive more than one offer, we encourage you to take time to consider your options carefully. We also ask that, if you are offered an assistantship that you know you will not accept, please communicate this information with the employer so that other students have an opportunity to receive that assistantship. As you are making assistantship decisions (accepting or declining), please email the SAC GA, Pearl Lo, at sagrad-ga@umd.edu. We will use this information to keep our Preview website updated regarding the status of assistantship positions. Pearl will also communicate via email weekly to all HESI-admitted students with assistantship updates/new GAships/etc.
4. Please note that you have until April 15th to confirm your enrollment to the University of Maryland. Please see instructions for confirming your enrollment with the Graduate School. Once you have confirmed your enrollment, please email Dr. Michelle Espino (mespino@umd.edu), Pearl Lo (sagrad-ga@umd.edu) AND your concentration's admissions coordinator. Higher Education Concentration admits should contact Dr. Marvin Titus (mtitus@umd.edu), Student Affairs Concentration admits should contact Dr. Michelle Espino (mespino@umd.edu) and International Education Policy Concentration admits should contact Dr. Steven Klees (sklees@umd.edu).
5. We know that the decisions you are facing are complex, to say the least. If we can provide any further information to assist your decision-making process, please let us know! We know that you have many fine choices for graduate school, and we are humbled that you are considering UMD and would love to welcome you into our HESI community!
Please remain safe and well!
