Jennifer is a doctoral student at the University of Maryland, studying Minority and Urban Education in the Teaching and Learning, Policy and Leadership program. Jennifer is a former high school math teacher, and has an undergraduate degree in Elementary Education from the University of Central Oklahoma and a master’s degree in Educational Leadership and Administration from Southern Nazarene University.

At the university level, Jennifer has taught Embracing Diversity in Classroom Communities and Historical and Philosophical Perspectives of Education. Her research interests include multicultural education, critical race theory, teacher education, and administrator preparation.
