Brooke Dalesio serves as a Senior Faculty Specialist and University of Maryland Professional Development Schools Coordinator for the Elementary Education Program.  In this capacity she oversees three semesters of the undergraduate professional program including: three annual field experiences, the year-long internship, teaching corresponding seminar courses, and maintains relationships and training for university supervisors, school partners and mentor teachers.  She also serves as a Reading methods instructor in the Elementary Education program. Brooke joined the University of Maryland in 2018 as a university supervisor.

Brooke earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from the University of Maryland at College Park in 2001, a Master of Science degree in Reading Education from Johns Hopkins University in 2006, and her National Board Certification in Early/Middle Childhood Literacy: Reading/Language Arts in 2008.  She has worked as a classroom teacher and UMD mentor teacher in Montgomery County Public Schools (MD), Reading Specialist in Branford Public Schools (CT), Title 1 Reading Tutor in Howard County Public Schools (MD), and as an adjunct professor at Johns Hopkins University (MD) before joining the University of Maryland team.
