Center for Diversity and Inclusion in Higher Education (CDIHE)

The Center for Diversity and Inclusion in Higher Education (CDIHE) is housed in the College of Education at University of Maryland, College Park. CDIHE serves as a national center for research, policy, professional standards, and consultation for universities across the country and abroad on critical issues related to diversity, inclusion, and social justice in higher education.

Center for Early Childhood Education and Intervention (CECEI)

The Center for Early Childhood Education and Intervention (CECEI) is an early childhood research center whose mission is to conduct high quality research on early childhood education and early intervention programs in order to inform State and Federal policy, to translate research into scalable education programs and best practices, to build capacity in schools and communities, and to promote family engagement in their children’s education.

Center for Educational Innovation and Improvement (CEII)

The Center for Educational Innovation and Improvement supports faculty in the College of Education as well as across campus in developing new and innovative approaches that advance public education and enhance educational opportunities for children and young adults in Maryland and the region and serve as the core of leadership preparation for school leaders in Maryland and the region.

Center for Mathematics Education (CFME)

The Center for Math Education is a nationally prominent center for research and teaching addressing the improvement of mathematics education in K-16 and informal settings. We promote innovation in teacher preparation programs and focused outreach efforts to local urban schools. The promotion of access and participation of underrepresented minorities in mathematics education is a tangible CFME commitment.

Center for Transition and Career Innovation (CTCI)

Maryland's Center for Transition and Career Innovation (CTCI) is designed to explore issues related to school-to-work transition for youth with disabilities. Our team of transition experts and education researchers is dedicated to the belief that any youth, with any disability, can achieve employment and a meaningful career. CTCI serves as a local, state and federal resource and partners with those organizations to improve college and career readiness for students and youth with disabilities.

Center for Young Children (CYC)

The CYC is a research center and laboratory school within the department of Human Development and Quantitative Methodology within the College of Education. Founded in 1948, the CYC strives to meet our triple mission of providing a high-quality early childhood program for children from 3 to 5 years of age, training preservice teachers and other child and family-focused university students, and support child development research. Our curriculum is grounded in the philosophy of John Dewey who believed in the ability of children to learn from high-quality firsthand experiences.
