The University of Maryland College of Education is a member in good standing of the Association for Advancing Quality in Educator Preparation (AAQEP). Full accreditation acknowledges that a program prepares effective educators who continue to grow as professionals and has demonstrated the commitment and capacity to continue to do so.

The University of Maryland College of Education’s doctoral program in school psychology received accreditation by the American Psychological Association (APA) in 2019, which extends through 2028.
