General COE Scholarship Application
Through the generosity of alumni and friends, the College of Education (COE) offers merit-based scholarships to undergraduate and graduate students enrolled in our academic programs. Applications are open for the 2025-2026 Academic Year, please review the deadlines:
March 25-May 1 – Current Students
March 25-May 1 – Incoming Freshmen
May 1-September 1 – Incoming Graduate Students
May 1-September 1 – Incoming Transfer Students
Requirements
- Full time enrollment in a College of Education Degree / Major Program
- Current UMD Students: UMD cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Letter of recommendation from a teacher, counselor, or faculty member
- Letters should include the following applicant criteria:
- Academic performance
- Financial need
- Leadership and contributions to the field of Education
- Commitment to promoting a diverse multicultural community
- Letters should include the following applicant criteria:
- Completed scholarship application
