In a Chronicle of Higher Education article about the challenges undocumented students face post-DACA, Assistant Professor Sophia Rodriguez’s analysis of more than 100 proposed and enacted pieces of legislation in South Carolina found that immigrants were often described as an economic and security threat to the state. South Carolina is one of three states that ban undocumented students from attending public colleges.
