ETS Open House Draws a Crowd

COE faculty and staff enjoy competing in a game of tech trivia

COLLEGE PARK, MD (April, 2016) – On Friday, April 15, Educational Technology Services (ETS) held its first open house in many years and hosted just over 50 participants for technology demonstrations, a chance to meet our staff, grab a bite to eat, and have some fun.

Visitors played Jeopardy, Family Feud, and several other technology-related games showing how PowerPoint templates can be customized to specific content and help with learner engagement.  There were also tours of our facilities, and chances to be entered into a drawing for office prizes.

There was a wide range of attendees, including staff, faculty administrators, instructors, and researchers.

Exit surveys resulted in comments such as:

“everything from the informative poster-boards to the food, games, and fellowship with the co-workers, made the day exciting and full of fun”

Thank you - this was a great way for us to get to know the faces and roles behind ETS.”

ETS thanks all those who attended, and we hope to see them and their colleagues at future events.
