Education Week interviewed Professor David Blazar about “grow your own” teacher education pathway programs. Blazar, who recently co-authored a study on the Teacher Academy of Maryland, one of the largest grow-your-own programs in the country, shared that these types of programs led to an increase in the number of students who were likely to choose a teaching career after high school.
