2013 welcome fair

On August 28th, the second College of Education Welcome Fair event was held with generous support from the office of Dean Donna Wiseman and the Pepsi Enhancement Funds Grant program.  The event was hosted by the second elected Executive Board of the College of Education (COE) Graduate Student Organization (GSO). This was an opportunity for COE graduate students to create an identity and build a sense of community across departments, interact with other members of the COE community, learn about COE Research Centers and Institutes, learn about resources available to graduate students, learn about the COE GSO, and explore and enjoy one of the best Colleges of Education!

During the opening program, remarks were offered by Dean Wiseman, Associate Dean Rice, and Department Chairs.  Afterwards, attendees were able to explore the Benjamin Building; visit booths; gather information about COE Departments, Centers, and Institutes; and enjoy delicious refreshments.  Representatives from campus resources and organizations were also on hand to support our graduate students.  The Fair was well attended by graduate and undergraduate students, faculty, and staff.

View photos of the event on our Facbook page.
