The Maryland Civic Education Coalition is hosting its 3rd Annual Maryland Civic Education and Engagement Leadership Summit. Co-chaired by Lena Morreale Scott, director of the civic education and engagement initiative, the summit brings together youth, educators, and community partners from across the state of Maryland who love the idea of empowering youth and improving our communities.
Through interactive roundtable and breakout discussions, attendees will explore what’s “working” and identify ways to address barriers to help strengthen civic engagement through civic education, learning and service-learning.
Assistant Professor Sarah McGrew will serve as a panelist for the “Civics Across the Curriculum” roundtable discussion.
