Kristyn Lue is originally from the West Coast, where she received her bachelor's degree in applied mathematics and teaching credential from UC Berkeley. She obtained her master's degree in higher education at the University of Maryland before joining the Center for Math Education as a doctoral student in 2018. She has served in various educational settings and roles over the past few years while studying full-time, and her research interests focus on systemic and structural barriers to math identity development and racial equity.
