Mathematics Education | Comparative and International Education | Contemplative and Holistic Education

Dr. Deepa Srikantaiah is an educator, scholar, and artist. Broadly her research focuses on mathematics education, comparative and international education, and contemplative and holistic education.

Dr. Srikantaiah began her career as a chemistry teacher and worked on after-school STEM programs in the United States. She has also worked at the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), The World Bank, Global Partnership for Education, with USAID contractors, non-profits, and was awarded a Fulbright to India (2015-2016). She has worked in South and East Asia, in Eastern and Western Africa, and the United States.

Dr. Srikantaiah is currently on the faculty of the School of Education at American University in Washington, D.C.  She is also an affiliate faculty in the graduate program in International Education Policy at the University of Maryland, College Park and the Global Education doctoral program at the School for International Training.  Her scholarship has been published in numerous peer reviewed journals, book chapters, and conference proceedings.
