- Read through your Welcome Packet and be sure to fill out the Intent to Attend Preview 2026 form online by February 13 at 11:59 pm Eastern Time. to indicate whether you are planning to attend our Preview program.
- Explore the UMD Preview Website!
- Check out the videos from our alumni to get a sense of why UMD students love their programs, how they feel about their community, and offer advice to admitted students!
- Take the campus tour and explore other campus resources.
- Get to know our current students by checking out their bios!
- Connect with HESI Preview on social media!
- Check out our WhatsApp Group and start meeting and socializing with current students at UMD. In the weeks leading up to Preview, this will be a great place for you to learn more about student experiences and make connections at UMD.

- Attend a Q&A Session before Preview to have questions answered on:
- Friday, February 13th | 10:00-11:00 am EST
- Tuesday, March 10th | 7:00-8:00 pm EST
Download Zoom if you haven’t already and create a Zoom Profile with your picture, name, pronouns, and preferred background (or no background at all!)
Should you wish to interview for a graduate assistantship during Preview:
Fill out the Assistantship Preference Form by February 13 at 11:59pm EST. Please note this includes uploading your resume and the contact information of 3 references.
- Chat with students on WhatsApp to ask any question, view our social media, and attend program sessions.
- Attend a class in your concentration during Preview week -- check out what’s available here.
- Reach out to your buddy, faculty/staff in your concentration, or members of the Preview committee throughout the week -- we are here to support you!
- Attend our Q&A Session after Preview on Tuesday, March 10th at 7:00-8.00 ET if you have any lingering questions about your experience. Please refer to your Welcome Packet for more information.
- Look for follow-up emails from your Preview facilitators!
- Continue checking the Preview website for updates on assistantships (if applicable)
- Follow-up with employers. (if applicable)
- Submit your decision via the Graduate School website and contact your concentration’s admission coordinator.
