AP | Affirmative Action for White People? Legacy College Admissions Come Under Renewed Scrutiny

The Supreme Court's recent ruling on race-conscious admissions has shed light on another college admissions practice-- legacy admissions, a practice in which colleges give preference to children of alumni.  

Of the new push to end legacy admissions, Associate Professor Julie Park said, "People want something to do, and there’s a strong rationale to get rid of it."
