On September 1, 2021, Interim Dean and Professor of Human Development and Quantitative Methodology Laura M. Stapleton was nominated to serve on the Blueprint for Maryland’s Future Accountability and Implementation Board (AIB).
The AIB is charged with developing a Comprehensive Implementation Plan for the Blueprint for Maryland's Future. All units responsible for implementing the plan, including local school boards, are required to submit implementation plans to the AIB for approval. The Board will evaluate the submitted data and assess how the different components of the Blueprint for Maryland's Future are working to achieve its desired outcome of equal access to a high-quality education.
Interim Dean Stapleton was selected out of a pool of over 40 applications as one of nine nominees by the Accountability and Implementation Board Nominating Committee. Governor Hogan will appoint seven of the nine nominees to the AIB before October 1.
