Julie J. Park, associate professor of education, provides insight into how the outcome of two Supreme Court cases could affect admissions policies and student diversity.
“There would be a tremendous negative impact across the system," said Park. "We have seen this in some states that have banned affirmative action. For example, in California, we saw really concerning drops in Black and Latinx enrollment [at the flagship campus] and this has not gone away."
