Campbell F. Scribner

In an article in USA Today, UMD COE Assistant Professor of Education Campbell Scribner commented on educators in election races, calling the number of teachers running for office “unprecedented.”

“Americans have always looked to schools to fix social problems,” Scribner said to USA Today. “So teachers are in a unique position to win because people care about schools.”

Dr. Scribner is an assistant professor in the Department of Teaching and Learning, Policy and Leadership, and has research interests including history and philosophy of education, curriculum studies, and school governance.
