The Diary of a Wimpy Kid series author/illustrator Jeff Kinney, a UMD alumnus, will give a presentation on how graphic novels, long-form cartoons, and other innovative works can help motivate readers. A panel discussion featuring Mr. Kinney and faculty experts on literacy from the College of Education will follow. Please note that there will not be opportunities for book signing or photos with Jeff Kinney. Children are not recommended to attend as the subject matter will be research-focused.
