College of Education Winter 2018 Commencement and Reception

At the College of Education's Winter 2018 Commencement, held on December 19 at 2 pm, we will celebrate this major life milestone of our matriculating undergraduate and graduate students. Family and friends are invited to the ceremony to applaud their loved ones as they cross the stage. A reception will immediately follow the ceremony at the Maryland Club at the Riggs Alumni Center

UMD College of Education Commencement Student Speaker

Dr. Emily Daubert (Ph.D. ’18) is a postdoctoral research associate in the Computational Cognitive Development and the Cognitive and Data Science Labs in the Psychology Department at Rutgers University–Newark. She received her doctorate in human development and quantitative methodology while working with her advisor, Associate Professor Geetha Ramani, at the University of Maryland and her bachelor’s degree in developmental psychology from Temple University. At Maryland, she received both Outstanding Doctoral Student and Outstanding Graduate Assistant awards, as well as grant awards from the National Science Foundation and the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development. She is passionate about research, musicals, and helping children from underserved backgrounds.
