The Maryland Initiative for Literacy and Equity (MILE), led by Associate Professor DJ Bolger, will host a Literacy and Equity Forum as a part of a wider Language Science Day celebration. The Forum will bring together interdisciplinary collaborators and stakeholders from across campus to discuss this initiative and the opportunities it creates. Featured presenters include Brit Kirwan, former UMD president and chair of the Kirwan Commission, cross-disciplinary faculty from the College of Education, College of Behavioral & Social Sciences, College of Arts and Humanities, School of Public Policy, College of Information Studies, and Morgan State University.
