Share Your Story Idea

The Office of Marketing and Communications is always looking for great stories to tell about our students, faculty, staff, alumni, programs and events. These stories are shared across a variety of channels, including our website, social media channels, digital screens in the Benjamin Building, Endeavors magazine, and e-newsletters. We also share them with the media.

We are looking for stories that:

  • Showcase the student experience in and out of the classroom, including first-time or unique classes, internship opportunities and experiential experiences.
  • Spotlight high-impact research informing policies and practices.
  • Highlight new initiatives that support student success, such as EdTerps pantry, new scholarship/funding opportunities, workshops for preservice teachers, or interesting guest speakers.
  • Give examples of how we are addressing society's grand challenges (e.g. social justice, climate change, global health, ethical and trustworthy technology) or spotlight our work in our impact areas: Civic education and engagement to strengthen democracy; Equity in developmental, education and mental health outcomes; The educator workforce; Literacy and language; and STEM teaching and learning.
  • Support the university’s strategic commitments: We reimagine learning and education; We take on humanity’s grand challenges; We invest in people and communities; and We partner to advance the public good.
  • Highlight students with interesting backstories and achievements.
  • Demonstrate our commitment to innovation for transformation, justice and equity, and collaboration with care.

To share a story idea for consideration, fill out the Share Your Story Idea form. If your idea is a good fit for our channels, we will follow up with you directly.
