TerpsEXCEED: Making College Possible for All

The University of Maryland's TerpsEXCEED program is featured in a recent episode of Think Inclusive, the podcast of the Maryland Coalition for Inclusive Education (MCIE). Hosted by Tim Villegas, the episode explores how TerpsEXCEED creates meaningful college experiences for students with intellectual disabilities through academics, employment, campus engagement and peer mentorship.

Program Director Amy D'Agati reflects on the philosophy behind the program: “I didn’t want to create a siloed program that goes alongside everything else. My whole focus throughout was, … how is that already done [for freshmen]?”
