Nancy Camarillo (she/her/hers) is a doctoral student at the University of Maryland - College Park where she is studying Student Affairs in the Department of Counseling, Higher Education, and Special Education.
Nancy graduated with her Bachelors of Arts in Political Science from California Lutheran University in 2012 and with her Master of Science in Higher Education Administration from California State University, Fullerton in 2014. In July of 2014 she joined the Office of Multicultural Student Affairs (MSA), at Iowa State University, where she served as a Program Coordinator overseeing a merit based full tuition scholarship program for high achieving students of color. Nancy is an active member of National Association of Student Personnel Administrators (NASPA) where she has served on regional and national boards, planning committees, and as a NASPA Undergraduate Fellow (NUFP) as a participant and as a mentor.
Nancy currently works as a Graduate Coordinator in the Leadership and Community Service Learning (LCSL) office, where she teaches courses in the Leadership Studies Program. Her research interest are graduate education looking at the experiences of graduate students of color and their experiences from graduate training into the field of Student Affairs.
