In this capacity, she works with the faculty, university supervisors and public school PDS partners to guide seniors in their final field placement experience. Her responsibilities also include conducting seminars throughout the year to further assist students as they develop their pedagogical skills. In addition, she works with juniors in the spring semester during their field placement. Debbie joined the University of Maryland in 1998, working as a university supervisor and instructor prior to taking on her current position. Debbie in a 1988 graduate of the Master’s Certification Program at the University of Maryland. She received her Bachelor of Science in Natural Resources with a concentration in environmental education at the University of Michigan in 1984. Prior to joining the University of Maryland, Debbie taught elementary school in Howard County, Maryland.
