EDPL 400: The Future of the Human Community (3).
Examination of the future
of our social and cultural institutions for education and child rearing,
social and family relationships, health and leisure, information exchange,
and the provision of food, clothing, and shelter.

EDPL 401: Educational Technology, Policy, and Social Change (3).
Junior
Standing. Examines technology as a complex force which influences social
change and the educational development of individuals.

EDPL 440: Educational Media (3).
Survey of classroom uses of instructional
media. Techniques for integrating media into instruction. Includes
preparation of a unit of instruction utilizing professional and
teacher-produced media.

EDPL 488: Special Topics in Education Policy and Administration (1-3).
Prerequisite: permission of department. Repeatable to 6 credits. Special
and intensive treatment of current topics and issues in education policy
and administration.

EDPL 489: Field Experiences in Education (1-4).
Prerequisite: permission
of department. Planned field experience in education-related activities.
Credit not to be granted for experiences accrued prior to registration.

EDPL 498: Special Problems in Education (1-3).
Prerequisite: permission of
department. Available only to students who have definite plans for
individual study of approved problems.

EDPL 499: Workshops, Clinics, and Institutes (1-6).
Repeatable to 6
credits. The following type of educational enterprise may be scheduled
under this course heading: Workshops conducted by the College of Education
(or developed cooperatively with other colleges and universities) and not
otherwise covered in the present course listing; clinical experiences in
pupil-testing centers, reading clinics, speech therapy laboratories, and
special education centers; institutes developed around specific topics or
problems and intended for designated groups such as school
superintendents, principals and supervisors.
