William Ming Liu, chair and professor of counseling psychology, explains the painful and conflicting emotions experienced by many Asian Americans following the recent shootings in Monterey ParkPark and Half Moon Bay:  “For a large part of the Asian American community, we don’t have a very public, practiced language. We’re trying to figure it out… what does it mean for us… These complex traumas take time to process.”
