Educational Technology Services (ETS) is pleased to host an event to help answer staff questions around multi-factor authentication (MFA).  We will also be available to assist with registration of your token or MFA/Duo app.  You must bring your device and/or token with you, as well as your University ID, if you wish to have assistance with registration.  No RSVP is required.  This is a drop-in event, so you only need to stay as long as is necessary for your needs.

The initiative to move to MFA for many apps behind CAS login for a select set of users was announced last October, and the upcoming deadline for all staff to have a method of additional authentication (in addition to your username and password) is March 5, 2018.  You should have received an email directly from DIT if you will be impacted, but if you aren’t sure, you can confirm if you are required to complete this extra step by contacting the DIT helpdesk at 301-405-1500.

Those preferring to use a token over the app should contact their academic department chair or unit head to see if they need to obtain it themselves.

You can also read more about the MFA initiative on DIT's website.
