COLLEGE PARK, MD (March, 2015) U.S. News & World Report has released its new set of rankings, “2016 Best Graduate Schools,” in which the College of Education at the University of Maryland again places at #26 among the nation’s graduate schools of education.
The College of Education remains the home of the nation’s foremost counseling and personnel services program – a distinction this program now holds for the sixteenth consecutive year. In the field of educational psychology, our program has advanced to the #7 spot from #8, and our education policy program also gained in the rankings, moving to #16. Our program in higher education administration has broken into the top 10 nationwide. The special education program has maintained its ranking – #11 – for the third year in a row.
“Our constant drive for excellence in everything that we do is recognized by our peers,” said Dean Donna Wiseman.

U.S. News did not rank programs in elementary education this year. Last year, the College of Education held the #16 spot in elementary education.
