Join the College of Education’s in our “Preparing to Teach Middle and High School Students To Take Informed Action” event on Wednesday, November 10th from 5:30 - 8:00 p.m. via Zoom. This professional development workshop for pre-service and in-service educators will explore how to teach students to take informed action in our current political and educational climate.
Participants can expect to:
- Learn about standards, policies, and initiatives across Maryland that help educators teach students to connect to their communities;
- Explore high-quality resources that support students to activate their voice, enhance classroom deliberation, use civic online reasoning skills, and engage in service-, experiential-, and project-based learning; and
- Identify and design curricular and instructional activities that support students to take informed action.
