Children Discovering Their World Preschool Curricula
Children Discovering Their World (CDW) is a series of early childhood curricula CECEI developed, and is currently implementing, which brings standards-driven, project-based learning to preschool (defined as those who are in three and four-year-old classrooms) children throughout the State of Maryland.
Currently CDW offers two curricula. Children Explore Their World (CEW) is a curriculum for three-year-olds, and Children Study Their World (CSW) is a curriculum for four-year-olds.
The overarching goal of the project is to utilize evidence in the research literature to design and implement standards-driven, project-based learning experiences, grounded in Maryland’s Early Learning Standards and Early Learning Assessment, for three and four-year-old children throughout the state.
