Early Childhood Curriculum Writer
The CECEI seeks an Early Childhood Curriculum Writer. This position will be part of the content development team. They will be responsible for writing and editing lesson plans within designated areas, as well as recommending manipulatives and experiences for learning centers. This work may be completed remotely, on the UMD campus or a combination of the two. The Early Childhood Curriculum Writer will be required to attend regular (either virtual or in-person) team meetings. This opportunity is a full-time, contractual position until December 31, 2021. Continuation dependent upon performance and funding.

Early Childhood Literacy Writer/Specialist
The Center for Early Childhood Education and Intervention is currently seeking an Early Childhood Literacy Writer/Specialist. The person in this position will be responsible for writing lessons based on children’s books designed to strengthen children’s vocabulary and pre-literacy skills. This work may be completed remotely, on the UMD campus or a combination of the two. The Early Childhood Literacy Writer will be required to attend regular (either virtual or in-person) team meetings. This opportunity is a half or full-time contract appointment beginning April 2021 through December of 2021 (length of work has potential to be extended).

Student Research Assistants
All Student RAs will enroll in an approved independent study or similar course and their hours in the Center will count toward course credits. Typically, 10 RA hours per week equals 3 course credit hours. Student RAs must cover the cost of tuition for this course.

The app is on iOS and Android and helps families connect with what their children are learning at school and offers activities and resources.
