The mission of the CECEI is to conduct high-quality research on early childhood education and early intervention programs in order to inform State and Federal policy, to translate research into scaleable education programs and best practices, to build capacity in schools and communities, and to promote family engagement in their children's education.

CECEI, in partnership with Maryland Family Network, is conducting an implementation evaluation of the Maryland Family Network’s Strong Families program through a Research-Program Partnership.
CECEI is in the final stages of developing the Trauma Sensitive Pedagogy (TSP) Toolkit, while simultaneously planning for a broader rollout of the Trauma Sensitive Pedagogy curriculum. Learn more about the TSP project.
