COE Announces Annual Awards, Celebrates EdTerps

Testudo

Each year, the College of Education celebrates the hard work of its faculty, staff and students. Their accomplishments reflect the mission of the College and the University of Maryland, and we’re humbled by COE’s outstanding EdTerps, whose dedication to the field of education shines through even in these uncertain times.

This year, we also celebrate the career and retirement of Assistant Dean & Executive Director of Teacher Education Kathy Angeletti, Ph.D., who has dedicated 38 years to scholarship at the University of Maryland.

“Drawing on her deep understanding of teacher education, her razor-sharp intellect, and her unwavering commitment to collaboration, Kathy has not only led efforts to prepare a high-quality and diverse educator workforce, but she has transformed the way that our College of Education works with district and state leaders to advance innovative teacher education policy. It has been an absolute privilege to work with such a dedicated professional and kind human being,” said COE Dean Jennifer King Rice.

Congratulations, Kathy!

Although we can’t meet for an in-person awards assembly and hope to reschedule for the fall, we don’t want the efforts of COE’s committed and enthusiastic faculty, staff and students to go unnoticed. COE is proud to announce the 2020 Annual Awards.

Fantastic work, keep it up EdTerps!
