My Joy Online featured UMD College of Education Professor Dr. Candace Moore in a recent article about the Institute for Educational Planning and Administration (IEPA) at the University of Cape Coast’s recently held 5th Students’ Innovation Expo.

The expo is used as an opportunity to facilitate communication, dialogue and implementation of best practices in higher education. As the featured guest speaker for the event, Dr. Moore highlighted the importance of integrating the people and places within the local community into the academic experience of students at the higher education level.

In the article, Dr. Moore is quoted as stating “Humans, not places make memories. You cannot expect the unconventional by employing conventional measures – enact transformational practice.”

Dr. Candace Moore is an Associate Clinical Professor - Higher Education, Student Affairs, and International Education Policy (HESI) Program and Director and Affiliate Faculty in the Center for Diversity and Inclusion in Higher Education (CDIHE).
