The mission of the CECEI is to conduct high-quality research on early childhood education and early intervention programs in order to inform State and Federal policy, to translate research into scaleable education programs and best practices, to build capacity in schools and communities, and to promote family engagement in their children's education.

News: 

CECEI has established The Maryland Early EdCorp Registered Apprentice Program, Maryland’s first registered apprenticeship program in the category of Early Childhood Educator, collaborating with the Council for Professional Recognition and the Early Childhood Workforce Connector.


CECEI, in partnership with Maryland Family Network, is conducting an implementation evaluation of the Maryland Family Network’s Strong Families program through a Research-Program Partnership.
