Small Research Grants
The MRC will support doctoral dissertation research typically up to $2,500 per request. Faculty requests for small grant support may be considered for up to $5,000. To be eligible for dissertation research support, applicants must have passed the dissertation proposal defense. MRC funds to support small grants are very limited.
Proposals should be no longer than two pages, and include a description of the project (including research questions and anticipated contributions to the research base, where relevant), rationale for the request, and a budget. Requests should be emailed to the MRC co-directors and include the subject line “MRC Small Research Grant Request.” Proposals may be submitted at any time.
