Bilingual and Biliteracy Research Lab

Directed by Professor Min Wang

In the Bilingual and Biliteracy Research Lab, my students and I take a cross-linguistic perspective on identifying and examining the factors and processes that influence monolingual and bilingual and biliteracy development. By systematically comparing both children and adults learning L2 English who are coming from an orthographically or typologically different L1, we have produced several lines of fruitful work aiming to provide a comprehensive picture of both universal and L1-specific processes in acquiring bilingual and biliteracy skills.

My students and I are active members of a large campus community on Language Science funded by NSF-IGERT and NSF-NRTprograms.
